My professor, Dr. Anthony Vajda, and I are conducting a a study titled "Weight Bias and its Occlusion of Gender Identity Development in Transgender Individuals" and we’re looking for folks to participate!

The advanced course on quantitative research methods started today. It's arranged just like the basic course, we have one lecture and one practice session per week. The difference, of course, is that there are now far less students here, only 15 compared to the about 50 in the basic course. Anyway, the lecturer of this and the basic course is also my Master's thesis' supervisor. It was quite funny when she asked us to introduce our research topic and our data, starting with me, and when I didn't tell her everything she wanted (simply because she asked for so many things I didn't manage to keep it all in my mind), she completed my answer for my behalf and then added that she didn't go snooping around everyone's business, that she just knows about me because I'm in her Master's thesis group 🤭

i am perhaps more amenable than a lot of people to the characterization of history as 'fiction', but that's because i think the really strident knee-jerk denial of that concept leads to a lot of weird appeals to objectivity or platonic truth or normative/pseudo-scientific forms of historical writing as un-stylized, or un-aesthetic. and i think all those reactions can lead to a very complacent and unintentional engagement with history as a discipline.

Things are going well atm. Mostly, anyway
I bought new sneakers, the same as my old ones, but just in a different colour
I've nearly done with the practice paper for the advanced course in quantitative research methods, and I think I'll be able to hand it in this week + I'm confident in having done things correctly (probably not 100% but like, 90%?)
The essay for the Education and Globalisation course is also almost finished, and I should be able to hand it in this week as well, or early next week at the latest
I've applied for another internship post, and sent a bunch of open apllications, but haven't heard back from any of them yet (which is not surprising since it's been just a few days)
I've got the data for my Master's thesis collected and transferred into a format that can be run in the software. I will probably start the analysis next week
Now I just need to somehow get a grasp of both the evolutionary psychology and radiation course content so that I can go take the exams. The radiation course stresses me more because you can't choose when to take the exam, and the first exam is in two weeks! I mean, I've learned something, but there's still a lot of stuff I haven't yet
